Merida, Mexico, Yucatan

Cafe Punta del Cielo, Merida, Yucatan
address: 30 185 San Ramon Norte
website:http://www.puntadelcielo.com.mx/puntaDelCielo.html

Enjoying some food in the splendid air conditioning, right in the main plaza.

Ok, Ok, I know this is not the most original cafe to place on the blog. Yes....it is kinda like the Starbucks of Mexico, but...I have to write about it for a couple of reasons.
1. When it is extremely hot outside and the humidity of the Yucatan is making your eyeballs sweat, having a cool, air conditioned eatery available to you is wonderful. This cafe, like all the other Punta del Cielo cafes, is located in a very high traffic area with great people watching potential. This alone makes it myfavoritecafes.com note-worthy.

Great view of the street and people through the huge windows.
2. Did I mentioned it's air conditioned????? Also, the food is good, tasty and even simplistically healthy. I love the light, open, airy quality of the interior. This cafe even has a fun upstairs balcony that allows you to sit on comfy sofas to enjoy your drink and food while only steps from the main park of Merida.

Check it out.
